Under the RadarRob Maylin & Friends
So what is 'Under The Radar'? Well it can refer to an angler who prefers not to say too much about what he catches. A secretive angler who does not use his catches to promote a bait of tackle company but prefers to keep quiet about his catches. Very often these guys are fishing waters either unknown or not for general fishing, guesting in other words on nature reserves, country estates or pheasant farms.
It can also refer to a certain fish or fishery which once again has been kept quite. The anglers not wanting to ruin their own personal piece of paradise. So why are they writing in this book? The answer is that in fact some of these anglers will never write but some have seen my Off The Beaten Track set of books and have kindly agreed to share their stories here and only here, knowing that our readers are not going to read the riot act over a harmless bit if guesting but only wish to revel in the glorious images and hear these stories of dedication and sacrifice, often not for the faint hearted, which lead to these historic catches.
Most of these carp have never been seen in print and some are the most incredible looking fish you will ever see. Old black warriors who have stood the test od time. I honestly think this book is the best of the series, so it back and join our contributors on a journey which will take you through the parks of central London, down the polluted river system where carp have been left untouched for decades and grown into gnarly old warriors steeped in history. Join us to the inland seas where age old rumours of mysterious monster commons have finally been put to rest. This book has it all and more, a vast collection of true legends, which will leave the reader with his mouth open in disbelief at what actually swims out their beyond the untrodden pathways.
